Coyote Communications, Inc.

Direct Mail Marketing

You've decided to start sending promotions through the mail to your customers on a regular basis. Coyote Communications, Inc., gets your message out for less than it would cost you to do it yourself!

The amount we can save you on postage alone makes having us handle your mailings more cost-effectively than doing it yourself. There are two postal rate categories for direct mail discounts:

Standard Mail (A) Nonautomation. Basically you can print labels from any computer program to achieve postage rates as low as .234 per piece. Mail has to be sorted, banded and sacked according to postal guidelines.

Standard Mail (A) Automation. Your mailing list must be CASS certified and bar-coded. With this rate you can achieve a postage rate as low as .173 per piece. Mail is sorted into trays rather than sacks, and does not need to be banded. This is less time consuming.

You could pay the $160 Application Fee and $160 annual fee for a permit at the post office and mail at Nonautomation rates yourself. However, in order to mail at Automation rates, you'd need to purchase software that allows you to CASS certify your mailing list and print bar-coded labels. You would also have to spend time learning how to use the software. In addition, you'd need to subscribe to a service to obtain the updated national database every two to three months at a cost of between $300 and $500 per year.

If you're planning to send promotions to your customers between six and twelve times per year, is it really worth all the time and expense involved to do it yourself?
